All this time Holland is a paradise for marijuana enthusiasts because Holland allowed to use and sell marijuana. It is applied not only for the Holland citizens but also for the international tourists.
But, “The Marijuana Excursion” soon is changed by the enactment of new law which was announced last week. The Holland government soon probihited the foreign tourists to buy marijuana in cofffe shop. For the Holland citizen itself, the rule of marijuana consumption will be tightened.
In the new law, coffe shops will operate like private clubs whose membership will be limited by only 1500 people. To be the member, it will not also be easy because someone must be the Holland citizen and adult.The membership is 1 year minimun.
“In maintaining disturbance and criminalty which is related with coffe shops and drugs trade, the policy of coffe shop open door will soon be over,” thus the statement of health and judiciry ministry in Holland parlement, last week.
As the beginning, the law wac enacted in 3 provinces, Limburg, Noord Brabant, and Zeeland, in this end of the year. Next year, other provinces sonn will catch up.
Holland is one of the countries which has tolerance policy of drugs use, especially marijuana. Marijuana with many kinds of shapes can be found. even in Amsterdam, any marijuana figured souvenirs scattered through the souvenir shops. it is not curious if this thing becomes attraction of their own tours.
