Ciara celebrated her 30th birthday with a superhero-themed costume party on Saturday night (Oct. 24), just in time for Halloween. Hitting the Warner Bros. lot in Hollywood, the singer rang in her milestone year as Catwoman in a form-fitting catsuit. As photos from the affair made their way onto the Internet, one guest of note was revealed to be none other than Beyonce, who opted to dressed up as an X-Men favorite, Storm. Complete with piercing contact lenses and a platinum blonde wig, Queen Bey’s transformation was met with online fanfare.
Ciara and boyfriend Russell Wilson embraced a couple’s theme, with the Seattle Seahawks showing up for the affair as Batman. Comedian Jeff Dye was on-hand at the party, and shared a selfie with Beyonce on Instagram, noting that she is a lover of costumes – which is clear from her elaborate get-ups on stage.
“I met Beyoncé tonight and she couldn’t have been more sweet. And shares my love of costumes,” he wrote.
While we’re sure these ladies still have something up their sleeves for the Halloween festivities, Ciara’s birthday party serves as a good kick-off. Ironically, last year, Ciara dressed up as Storm, while Beyonce donned couple outfits with Jay Z (the two were artists, Frida Kahlo and Basquiat) and Blue Ivy (they rocked out at Janet and Michael Jackson). Next weekend, these two will probably be trending topics yet again, so stay tuned.
